              The
Digital Atlas of Birds Histology is to be used as didactic and
pedagogic support for students of veterinary medicine in conventional
classes, study outside classroom or distance learning courses.
              It
consists of photomicrographs of tissues and organs accompanied
by explanatory captions and can be accessed by the threads of
                the content.

The instructional design of the Atlas was based on the description
of tissues and systems of birds (Gallus gallus) to better
identify and categorize the species needed for students and professionals
in the field of veterinary medicine. Both cognitive activities
enable it, in the case of Atlas, for visual identification and
association between morphology and function of cells, tissues
                and organs. |
